Maria Cedillo

Maria is the person I want to be.....she is always full of kindness and happiness. Whenever I would see Maria she always had a warm welcoming smile and she always greeted you as if she hasn't seen you in so long. I've known Maria since we worked at Whitter Area Federal Credit Union and she has not changed since then. She is well like and will be missed dearly.
Maria- you have earned your permanent wings and I can only hope that you will watch over us. We love you and miss you.

OUR ANGEL NOW DANCING IN HEAVEN

My darling Maria,

No words can explain how much you touched my heart. Your LOVE and friendship was a breath of fresh air. So vibrant and Beautiful!! I will miss your smiling face, your cheery voice, the way you just loved to dance... You would dance down the isles at the old Riverside building and just bring so much joy to those around you!! I will also miss your amazing guacamole.. YUMMY!!You just had a way of bringing out the best in people! You always knew the right things to say to make me feel better whether it was a personal issue or Member issue. Thank you so much for just being you! I know the Angels in Heaven are singing and dancing and praising God that he created such a wonderful soul..
I LOVE YOU.. and you will be in my heart forever and someday we will meet again!!

She's in a better place....

Maria is in a better place right now, than she's ever been before; All her pain is gone, she's now at rest, nothing to worry her anymore.
All though we'll miss her truly, we know we'll meet again. Until then, you're always in our prayers and love you very much.

"HASTA PASTA"

Maria came into my life 6mo. ago. I remember the day she called me on the phone at Michaels to introduce herself to me as my supervisor and to welcome me to the credit union family. I had never had a sweet, loving person in the workplace to call me and welcome to a company like she did. I will miss her greatly, especially the saying she would say every evening when she left work, "Hasta Pasta", which I translated as good-bye. "Hasta Pasta Maria, my friend, my mentor"

For My Loved Ones

I stood by your bed last night;
I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying you found it hard to sleep.
I spoke to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
'It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here.'
I was close to you at breakfast,
I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached to me.
I was with you at the shops today; your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today; you tend it with such care.
I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there.
I flew with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently landed on you; I smiled and said, 'it's me.'
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was there.
It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, 'I never went away.'
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say 'good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning.'
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll fly across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you,
there is so much for you to see.

I had the priviledge of working with Maria when she re-joined the credit union in 2001. Our common bond was music and we would always talk about our favorite Spanish Rock bands or the musical endeavors her husband was pursuing. She was so proud of her family and I'm sure they were equally proud of her. I always enjoyed catching up with her whenever I saw her at Visions or other CU events. I will never understand why the good people have to be taken away from us so soon. My deepest sympathies go out to her family and I pray that they find comfort in each other.

Maria was one of the greats.

I’m at a loss for words. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband and children. I had the greatest pleasure working with Maria when I was with the credit union. She was always happy and energetic. Maria was always willing to go out of her way to help others. If anyone had asked me who was the perfect “Dream Team” teammember I would say that it would have to be Maria. Even though I am not at the credit union anymore I still feel there is now a void in the world and just wanted to say that the light that burned inside of her was strong enough to touch me and have a positive effect on me for the rest of my life as well as others. Maria you will be deeply missed by all.
